Over 600 insurance agents and brokers in Prima’s intermediaries network gathered yesterday at the Palazzo del Ghiaccio in Milan. The car insurance company’s intermediaries convention represented an important opportunity for the network to discuss and align on results, strategies and a vision for the future. It confirms the network’s central role in Prima's growth.

The event name, "Same DNA, New Ambitions", sums up the goal Prima set its intermediaries: keep the innovative and entrepreneurial spirit that has characterised the company since its start. At the same time, accelerate growth, thanks to opportunities brought about by Prima’s new place in the AXA Group.

The day began with a welcome address from Prima’s CEO, George Ottathycal, followed by a review of the key results over the past year. It was revealed that premium income from the intermediaries channel grew by 65% in 2025, confirming this channel as Prima's main growth driver in the Italian insurance market. The company also shared its strategic directions for the future, with a particular focus on strengthening the network and improving the tools available to intermediaries.

"In recent years, we have built an organisation capable of profoundly innovating the Italian insurance market without ever losing speed, ambition and closeness to our partners," said Andrea Balestrino, Country Manager Italy at Prima. "Our network of partner intermediaries will continue to play a central role in our growth: we intend to further invest in technology, simplification and service quality, to even more effectively support intermediaries."

During the convention, Prima presented key innovations for its network. These included new insurance cover, aligned with the best market standards, and AI integrations for the intermediaries’ online platform. Also revealed was a new section of the claims management tool, designed to simplify daily operations and increase the commercial effectiveness of agencies and brokers.

"Developing our network of partner intermediaries continues to be a fundamental part of our strategy," added Giulio Apostolo, Sales Director of Prima. "We want to grow together with our partners, providing them with increasingly advanced tools, competitive products and a simple yet effective operating model, focused on quality of service."

The convention alternated moments of discussion with inspirational speech, with ski champion Sofia Goggia and sports journalist Pierluigi Pardo hosting. A new episode of the "Tu, Prima" Italian TV commercial, dedicated to the intermediaries network, was also previewed, starring José Mourinho.

Much of the event was focused on the topics of technological innovation and process simplification. These elements have always characterised Prima's operating model and will continue to be important for the distribution network.

The day concluded with the award ceremony for both the 10 best emerging companies and the 20 best partner agents. The latter were awarded a trip to China organised by Prima.

More than a convention, this event was a moment of strategic sharing, designed to strengthen the bond with the network and relaunch Prima's shared ambition: to continue growing together, enhancing skills, innovation and customer proximity.
