To help fuel that growth, we need an Engineering Manager to join our Claims Data Management team.

This team is the beating heart of Prima.

You’ll be joining over 300 engineers across software development, infrastructure, operations and security. Fueled by curiosity, experimentation and collaboration, you’ll help deliver scalable, impactful solutions that shape the future of insurance.

What you’ll do:

Define and drive the technical roadmap, ensuring alignment with business priorities for a team of 3 to 6 engineers

Take ownership of architectural decisions, overseeing implementation while ensuring maintainability, reliability, scalability, and security

Support the development team in delivering high-impact initiatives on time

Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth, while maintaining an engaging and motivating work environment

What we’re looking for:

Strong hands-on background with 5+ years in data engineering (e.g. SQL, Python, Spark or similar distributed processing frameworks)

2+ years in a leadership role, managing engineering teams, overseeing development processes, and driving technical decisions

Experience designing and operating reliable data pipelines in production (batch and ideally streaming / event-driven systems) and making data modelling decisions

Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with non-technical stakeholders and external business partners

Proven ability to lead initiatives from inception to successful delivery, collecting business requirements and converting them into actionable technical ones

Nice-to-Have:

Experience with event-driven architectures (e.g. Kafka or similar)

Experience with modern cloud data platforms (e.g. AWS, Databricks, Redshift or similar)

Experience evolving domain data models in operationally complex environments
