The Great Challenge convention was a chance for Prima to showcase its achievements, made possible by synergy with agents and brokers, and share what’s new for 2022

The Great Challenge, the official convention for the intermediaries of Prima Assicurazioni, a tech company in the Italian insurance industry, was today held for the first time in Milan. And it proved a great success.

Attending the event were more than 450 intermediaries, including agents and brokers, with at least 350 in person and 100 virtually. They heard Prima mangers reveal what they had achieved together – and made plans to continue Prima’s growth and development.

The convention took place in Via Tortona, one of the hubs of innovation and design in Milan. It marked an important moment for strengthening Prima’s collaboration with – and long-term commitment to – its network of intermediaries.

Thanks also to the indirect channel, Prima has recorded unprecedented growth in the insurance market. It’s done this by leveraging technology, data analysis and talent as well as an innovative and distinct distribution model.

In June 2022, there were 2.5 million active insurance policies with Prima Assicurazioni. And over 30% of new policies were provided by agents and brokers.

These are significant results we would never have achieved without the support of our network of intermediaries“ explained Andrea Balestrino, Commercial Director of Prima Assicurazioni. “The development of the omnichannel distribution model together with intermediaries” added Balestrino, “is a key part of our strategy to transform the insurance sector through technology and innovation. Last year’s convention was hugely successful. But it had to be held virtually because of the pandemic. So we really wanted to hold this year’s in person, to finally meet our network of agents and brokers, whose contribution is fundamental to our company’s future growth. Thanks to their expertise and dedication, we can keep in constant contact with our end customers. And we can gather all their feedback to offer products and services optimised for their needs”.

Prima’s network, spread throughout the country, has more than 500 selected partners today. Numbers from the indirect channel have grown by more than 100% in the first half of the year, compared to the same period of 2021. This is no doubt thanks to the continuous development of the insurance products Prima supplies to its intermediaries.

The Great Challenge 2022 convention was also an opportunity to unveil Prima’s new Home and Family insurance product. It offers customers the chance to select their desired coverage for maximum customization.

It’s available from today on the platform for Prima’s network of intermediaries. It boasts everything that made Prima’s earlier insurance products so successful. Quotes can be calculated and policies issued within minutes. And management of the after-sales process is extremely easy.

Nicola Savino, radio DJ and MC of the event, invited the special guests of the convention onto the stage. They included tennis player Flavia Pennetta, motorcycle racer Jorge Lorenzo and motorsports racing driver Rachele Somaschini.

Each guest spoke of their own challenges in sports. All, at some point in their career, were faced with future-defining challenges. And they overcame them thanks to the support of their teams.

Similarly, Prima wants to win the challenge of being the constant reference point for its agents and brokers, to continue together their revolution of the insurance sector.

The Convention was also an opportunity to reward the intermediaries of Prima. Awards were given for Best Performer 2021 and Best New Entry 2021.
