We are looking for an experienced Staff Security Engineer to join our Security team for the protection of Prima’s customers and platform.

As a Staff Security Engineer, you will be expected to:

  • Act as a technical point of reference to the security team, identifying and taking ownership of wide-scale initiatives to reduce the risk posture of Prima.
  • Actively contribute to Prima’s cybersecurity strategy with a data-driven mindset.
  • Work effectively with Engineering, Product and the wider organisation bring a risk-based approach to decision making.
  • Review and influence both high-level architectural decisions as well as security-relevant implementation details across Prima engineering.
  • Empower the Security team by contributing practices and technical expertise to the team’s continuous improvement processes.

Requirements

You are our ideal candidate if you meet these requirements:

  • Strong knowledge and experience of AWS and Kubernetes
  • Threat modelling experience
  • A clear understanding of the dynamics of software delivery in an agile, microservices-based environment, inclusive of aspects such as: planning practices and ceremonies, design flow, SDLC, operations and observability, platform engineering, identity, data governance.
  • Ability to identify and communicate effectively security-relevant tradeoffs across all aspects of product delivery
  • Ability to build and operate custom software and infrastructure to support the team’s activities
  • Passion for helping team members to grow and improve
  • A clear understanding of the right balance between security and product development

The employment is Full Time. This role can be fully office based, part-remote or fully remote. We currently have offices in London (UK), Milan and Rome (Italy), Madrid (Spain) with more countries due to open soon.
