The HR Shared Service Delivery Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective delivery of People services within the Italian operation. This includes managing the payroll process for all colleagues in country. The key deliverables are captured below:

1. HR Shared Service Delivery Management:
- Ensure that People services are compliantly, accurately and efficiently delivered in accordance with agreed timescales.
Monitor service performance and implement improvements as discussed and agreed.
- Positively manage relationships with both internal stakeholders and external vendors/suppliers (e.g. Italian Payroll, Benefits providers) 
- Develop and implement shared service delivery strategies to optimize efficiency, compliance and quality.

2. Payroll Management:
- Oversee the payroll process, including secure and holistic data entry, calculations, and disbursement of salaries and bonus (quarterly and annually) together with ad hoc requirements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and company policies.
- Develop a Payroll Issues Log with a view to managing down error rate, whilst resolving payroll discrepancies and addressing colleague inquiries related to compensation in a timely and effective manner.
- Collaborate with Finance and People team colleagues to ensure accurate financial reporting and budgeting.

3. Team Leadership:
- Working closely with the People Admin Lead, manage the People Admin/Payroll team, providing coaching, guidance and support.
- Develop and implement development programs to enhance team skills, knowledge and expertise and so build internal team capability.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration.

4.Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, such as tax regulations and data protection laws (GDPR/Data Privacy).
- Identify and mitigate risks related to service delivery and payroll processing.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of payroll data and processes.

5.Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate reports on service delivery performance, payroll metrics, and other relevant KPIs.
- Analyse data to identify trends, issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Share insights and recommendations with Global Head of People Partnering & Delivery based on data analysis.

6. Pending Projects:
- Payroll vendor review and RfP
- Support current HRIS improvement strategy and the go forward RfP 

Overall, the HR Shared Service Delivery Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring that People services are delivered effectively and that colleagues are compensated accurately and on time, while also managing risks and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, as well as a thorough technical understanding of service delivery and payroll processes.


- Demonstrable experience of managing Italian payroll (ideally both in-house and outsourced)
- Deep appreciation of the Italian regulatory landscape as it impacts payroll e.g. compliance, tax, statutory reporting
- Sound understanding of both fixed and variable pay and benefits 
- Proven track record of successfully having led, managed and developed Payroll/Admin Team capability 
- HR shared service KPI construction, monitoring and analysis
- HR shared service process review/evaluation/re-design to meet business requirements
